Body Type: Medium build, (lightly toned physique)

Personality:
She is very easy going but can be very serious when the time comes down to work. She has lovable type of humor has a VERY sharp wit that she uses on a daily basis and can get along with pretty much anyone. She's never quick to judge and is very protective to the ones she considers Family and Close Friends. Very Loyal and doesn't lose her cool too easily, she is quite dependable and selfless when it comes to life/death situations and sacrificing her own happiness.

Abilities/Strengths:
Even though bound to a wheelchair, she isn't totally helpless. She was taught extended first aid training and is trained martial artist. Barbara is an above-average hand-to-hand combatant. Kung Fu master Richard Dragon helped Barbara to hone her martial prowess during a time when he too was using a wheelchair. Has mastered Escrima Stick Fighting, Dragon Style Kung Fu, and Boxing. She was also trained in throwing weapons to defend herself (From being Batgirl by Batman himself) and possesses above average strength level of a woman her age, size and weight who engages in intensive regular exercise. In part because of her use of her manual wheelchair, Barbara maintains prodigious upper body strength.

Having been blessed with a high Intellect, her memory is sharp, (Primarily Photographic) but she's above average* in recalling objects, voices and events with clarity as well as retaining information which makes Barbara a very good Detective in her own right. She is a professional hacker and is known for her Genius-level Intellect (Back in Gotham and in her world) in computers for getting information, security-surveillance and writing programs to protect and infiltrate systems if need be. While she was infected with the Braniac virus, Barbara had cyberpathic powers and could psychically interact with computer systems. Though after the life saving operation by Dr. Mid-nite, the virus was rendered dormant and the ability virtually lost as far as anyone can tell.

Weaknesses:
The obvious would be that Barbara can't walk as well as she can let her emotions get the best of her if not careful and close up to pretend all is fine and not talk about her problems when they should be addressed. She needs her glasses to see somewhat clearly and hates not being able to do more physically due to her handicap. Her computer scripting skills are high but by hand deciphering isn't the best. Without a Computer, she is pretty helpless and dial-up can be considered one as well on that computer level.

Notable Possessions:
Her laptop bag she holds her Laptop, External Harddrive and needed cords when she is away from her 'Nest', Cellphone, A Batarang (which she keeps on her person due to old habits), a collapsible CIA-style baton in her wheelchair and a gold ring, set with a diamond on it upon a gold chain about her neck.

History:
Having grown up in Gotham all her life, Barbara Gordon is the daughter of Commission Gordon, whom is a pretty important person of the law within Gotham city. Always having a bright smile and something to add to help, she would at times help her father through hard cases idly but never totally getting involved. Barbara insisted that Her father enroll her in martial arts classes. While reluctant at first, he recognized that the daughter of Gotham City's police captain could definitely benefit from some knowledge of self-defense. Barbara excelled in her training and earned her black belt within a short span of time.

As dedicated as she was towards her physical development, Barbara equally committed herself towards her academic achievements. Gifted with a photographic memory, she easily rose through the ranks of Gotham Heights High School, and graduated early at the age of sixteen. That same period, Barbara earned herself a scholarship to Gotham State University. She became one of the University's youngest students, graduating with honors before she was even a legal adult. After hearing about him, Barbara had become completely obsessed with the Batman and learned everything that she could about him. One evening, she snuck into her father's private home office to discover him engaged in a secret conversation with the Batman. Barbara had no idea that her adoptive father was actually worked with this mysterious dark knight. Her obsession with Batman only intensified. At one point, The Gotham City Police Department decided to host the Million Dollar Masquerade Ball at the Bristol Country Club. Dozens of Gotham City's most affluent leading citizens, including the likes of Bruce Wayne and J. Devlin Davenport, were expected to attend. Barbara sewed a stylish, feminine version of Batman's costume based upon designs that she first conceived as a child. For the most part, she intended on crashing the party as this "Batgirl" merely to spite her father.

When she arrived however, she found that somebody else had decided to crash the party before her. A costumed criminal named Killer Moth and his cronies raided the country club, grabbing Bruce Wayne as a hostage. It was their intent to rob the charity proceeds as well as extort hundreds of thousands of dollars from Gotham's wealthiest patrons.

Barbara now found herself acting as Batgirl in deed as well as in name. She tackled Killer Moth in the hopes of rescuing Bruce Wayne from his clutches. What she didn't realize though, was that Bruce Wayne was actually Batman. He allowed Batgirl to rescue him so that he could sneak off to change into his work clothes. Returning to the scene with his sidekick, Robin, Batman discovered that Killer Moth had gotten the better of Batgirl. In order to free her from the morass of Killer Moth's silk-spinner gun, they were forced to let the criminals get away. Batman chided Batgirl harshly for her foolish antics, and warned her against pursuing such a reckless lifestyle. Hearing such criticism from a man she idolized for so long was a shock for Barbara, but it did not deter her from her chosen path. Despite his disapproval, he sent her Batarangs via Dick Grayson, who subtly revealed to her that he was Robin. Barbara was able to solve the case, and by story's end, Batman swore her in an oath and also revealed his identity.*

Barbara and Dick made a wonderful team, with their snark and light heartiness at times to missions and how their personalities clicked. They would also start to become close but due to circumstances of 'waited too long to say', a stable as well as a committed personal relationship would never form outside their Colleague type on protecting the city, as much as Barbara hoped and wish at this point of time.

Even when Dick left to become his own person and take on the alias of Nightwing, Barbara stayed as Batgirl by Batman's side until a new robin was found which was Jason Todd, then the recent, Tim Drake. As much as Tim and she made a wonderful team, she did wish Dick would work with them more often but it never turned that way. Regardless, She enjoyed her time with Batman, learning and becoming better for the city, even though Her Father really never found out until way later.

Barbara would be 19 years of age and just out of College when she was at home with her father and there was a knock on the door. She would answer it for her father and it would be the Joker there, wanting it to be the Commissioner instead, but didn't care and shot his gun. His goons would drag her father off as she lie on the ground, bleeding and unable to get up. She would pass out eventually and It would be awhile until she woke up in the hospital. First to Batman, then to her friends and family but no Dick for he was on a mission. After much therapy, It was announced that she would be wheelchair bound but luckily for her, it was just her legs and everything else internally from the waist down worked fine.

Barbara would fall into a type of depression, stuck in a chair, not being able to swing the skylines any longer and help Batman and Robin like she should. Recognizing this a month later, she would break out of it to instead devoted all her time to developing one of the world's most complex and powerful computer systems and set to work accumulating information.

Blessed with a photographic memory, Barbara reads dozens of the world's top newspapers and magazines daily. She's also constantly gathering information from other, less public sources, such as the CIA's mainframe, not to mention the data networks of the FBI, NSA and Interpol (all without their knowledge or consent).

After much planning and funding, she would become the eye in the sky of sorts for Batman and Robin on the night scoutings. She would eventually be found and sought out by the Justice League to become a valuable member to them with their missions. After getting such a recognition for her talents, Barbara would gain a new name for herself. She was no longer Batgirl for she was gone like her legs. She was now known as 'Oracle'. She would eventually gain a bigger personal base and take refuge within the Clock Tower in Downtown Gotham and start to make her own team to lead. They would be known as the 'Birds of Prey' which consisted of Black Canary, Huntress, Lady Blackhawk and herself. Later, some would leave but then others be added like Big Barda, Vixen, Mistfit and Black Alice.

Soon, she would have to relocate again, to the city of Metropolis where there was more space for the Base and closer to various other Superheros for the Justice League. Through it all, She still holds a special place for helping Batman and Robin in their Time of need. After all the personal Drama, Barbara and Dick Grayson do become close, she helping him as he was in his city of Bulhaven as Nightwing. At a moment in time after a situation called 'Final Crisis" Dick Grayson does indeed ask Barbara to marry him. She accepts but due to various situations after and more so a point where Bruce offers takes Tim and Dick on a training journey to find themselves. Dick asks Barbara was she thinks and she feels Dick should go since he needed to find himself but would be waiting for his return. She gave him back the ring but then Dick gives it back in a letter with on a gold chain.

With the ring around her neck, Barbara continues to be Oracle and help out the group she leads, the Justice League and whomever is in need of her assistance to bring peace to the world.
